Havkraft completes successful sea trial

We are thrilled to announce the successful completion of a two-month sea trial of our OceanOne device. The sea trial involved a 1:4 scale pilot device tested at the entrance of the Nordfjord, a trial that lasted from the beginning of January to the middle of March.

The purpose of the trial was to demonstrate the sea keeping capabilities of the device in real sea conditions. The device showed a controlled response in all sea states, providing confidence in the structures design to survive in harsh waters. During the test period, the system operated in significant wave heights of up to 1.6 meters and endured multiple storm events.

This foundation has given the company the input needed for our next phase, a complete TRL6 test of the device including all subsystems.

Installed, tested in real sea conditions, and safely retrieved— a full-cycle demonstration delivered as planned.

This test campaign represented a significant milestone for the company and helped mature our technology. We are eager to continue our mission to accelerating the transition to a carbon-free and sustainable energy system.

A big thank you to everyone involved in making this test a success.
